Treated Pine Sleeper – CCA Treated

Hayters Timber & Paving stocks a range of treated pine sleepers in a selection of sizes and lengths to suit a wide variety of landscaping applications. CCA ( Copper chrome arsenate ) is a very durable long lasting treatment process which promotes longevity of timber that is in contact with the ground or where below ground.

We pressure treat our sleepers forcing the CCA preservative deep into timber which protects it from rotting, fungi and insects, and to resist leaching. Freshly treated CCA timber can be identified by its yellow/greenish colour, which fades to grey over time. Copper chromium arsenic (CCA) is Australia’s most widely used wood preservative. It has been used safely in Australia for 50 years and some 120 treatment plants are currently operating around the country.

Choose from CCA or ACQ treatments, as well as sawn straight edge or bevelled edge options. If you would like to change the look from just standard timber sleepers, they can be painted with an appropriate stain or exterior grade paint also.
