Efflock Efflorescence Inhibitor

Efflock Efflorescence Inhibitor is a solvent free, water based liquid additive for the bulk impregnation of cementitious building materials. Manufactured under a patented process to produce a very small and consistent particle size that creates capillary impregnation of concrete without filling the pores and capillary structure. This provides a hydrophobic effect whilst remaining permeable in order to release moisture.

Efflock provides a safe, invisible, and highly economical method of impregnating concrete against damp and efflorescence, and associated problems such as mould, algae, rising or lateral damp and concrete cancer. By making concrete hydrophobic, Efflock serves to create a cost effective additional barrier against waterproof membrane failures in many tiling applications such as bathrooms and balconies.

Efflock cures and chemically bonds to concrete in conjunction with the normal curing process, to provide long term protection by significantly reducing the ingress of water and any dissolved salts that the water may carry. Efflock also serves to prevent the ingress of liquid water carrying chloride ions that are detrimental to concrete.

Efflock can be safely added to proprietary cement based tile adhesives and proprietary tile grouts to improve their performance, without changing their appearance or affecting adhesion of subsequent materials or finishes.
