Raised Timber Garden Beds

Our made-to-order garden beds are one of the most popular products at Hayters Timber & Paving. Made on site from sustainably sourced plantation pine timber and treated with NatureWood® ACQ®, a waterborne Alkaline Copper Quaternary preservative system that provides long-term protection of exposed wood in exterior applications. The Copper and Quaternary compounds are effective fungicides and termiticides, which together provide protection against a broad spectrum of decay fungi, borer and termites.

Compared to normal garden beds, a raised garden bed can produce up to twice the amount of vegetables and flowers per square metre by greatly reducing soil compaction which allows increased productivity. Raised garden beds are much easier to work on as they can be designed to a height that suits you particular needs. You can use them to create a garden on concrete or paved areas and by internally lining them with a geo-fabric, only the water will seep through leaving your soils nicely contained.

All our raised garden beds are supplied flat packed and include all screws for easy DIY assembly. Hayters can also design and make customised garden beds according to your specific needs, just ask in store and our team will be more than happy to discuss your project.
